Siham Ahmed
Hello, my name is Siham Ahmed. I am currently a rising second-year MPH Epidemiology candidate at the Rollins School of Public Health, also pursuing a certificate in Human Rights. I am happy to be a part of the planning committee for ELCC. As a public health professional, I provide a unique perspective that echoes a strong Carter Center message: you cannot truly have a peaceful society that is not healthy. When having conversations about faith and peacebuilding, I want to emphasize that health is a fundamental human right that all should be granted. I use this as a pillar of belief in all the work that I do. I have always been fascinated by faith and believe that when talking about peace building, it brings forth an interesting conversation. After all, I believe that peacebuilding that enacts change on both the local and global level all starts with a conversation.
"ELCC opens a space for dialogue with those from different walks of life and talking about important topics. It leaves space for humanity and reminds us that collaboration is the key to progress.”
