Cate Tedford

Cate Tedford is a third-year Master of Divinity student at Emory University's Candler School of Theology, where she is pursuing certificates in Human Rights and Justice, Peacebuilding, and Conflict Transformation. Her work and interests focus on the role of faith communities in peacebuilding and civic engagement through interfaith dialogue, service, and youth leadership. Cate is an alumna of The Carter Center’s inaugural Emerging Leaders for Community Change (ELCC) cohort and has worked with both Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL) and Interfaith Atlanta on multifaith programmatic and outreach initiatives.

"I believe our stories are one of the most powerful tools we have for building trust, bridging differences, and reminding us of our shared humanity. When we share our stories wholeheartedly, we create space for authentic connection with others. I'm excited to continue my journey with ELCC because it empowers young leaders to discover their voices, lead with courage and compassion, and cultivate the kind of belonging our communities and our world so desperately need."
